Employing the process of photographic double exposure, I attempt to capture fleeting moments of beauty that occur in our everyday.
The images are constructed through a combination of abstract shapes and colours. Using different filters and exposure techniques, I have developed a number of my own processes. Utilising such processes when taking the photographs to manipulate the film, creates a variety of effects and colours in camera.
My approach is to use the camera as a tool, to capture or crystallise, fading memories. In this I am creating a personal visual diary, capturing the passage of a particular period of time, a crossing of a threshold, relying heavily on chance and any quirks or miss-haps the camera might produce.
