IMPORTANT INFORMATION

ABOUT

AKA is a voluntary run arts festival that showcases the hard work and talent of artists and community groups in Kilkenny City and County. Founded in 2014 by a group of artists and community organisers looking to bring together the scattered events and exhibitions that happen each August in Kilkenny. Over the last eight years the festival has grown from strength to strength and continues to offer a platform to established and emerging artists from Kilkenny City and County.

The government guidelines in relation to COVID 19 should be followed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all involved. The updates and guidance can change and evolve over the coming weeks. This will affect how face to face events can be run and the way by which they can be run.

AKA will be following government guidelines and public health advice in relation to what can be listed within the programme. It is the responsibility of the artists to follow the measures as referenced within their proposal in relation to covid compliance.

The following guidelines are applicable to events which occur within the face to face space.

-Wash hands frequently

-Do not anything in person if you are feeling unwell or have symptoms of Covid-19

-Adhere to restrictions in terms of audience capacity/public gathering as and when these are announced by government.
